PRODIGAL PRESS YEAR IN REVIEW MAGAZINE 2022-2023

Prodigal Press is back for a fourth year and what better way to celebrate than with another annual Year in Review magazine? Including work published in the 2022-2023 academic calendar, our third edition combines both analog and digital design beautifully illustrating how Prodigal Press aims to bridge the gap between online and local community. Prodigal’s emphasis on praxis and print revival delivers 98 pages of essays, poetry, photography, and personal narratives stitched together by the hands of 6 designers, 11 editors, and 22 authors. The words and images created by our collective are woven together as a tapestry, gathering the loose threads and ends, combining them to stand empowered, together as one.

PRODIGAL PRESS YEAR IN REVIEW MAGAZINE 2021-2022

The Year in Review magazine has returned for a second year. Including work published during the 2021-2022 academic calendar, our second edition comes in a convenient size with the same professional quality and editorial design. With the help of eight designers, every article was hand-collaged onto its own spread and scanned, achieving the analog zine style reminiscent of our earliest work. In the over 40 pages of essays, poetry, and art you will find that the magazine is both a magnifying glass on the present and a time capsule prepared for the future.

PRODIGAL PRESS YEAR IN REVIEW MAGAZINE 2020-2021

The Prodigal Press “Year in Review” takes the best from the 2020-2021 academic calendar and gives it new life in a full-size, full-color, professional-quality magazine. With over 30 pages of essays, poetry, and art, the Year in Review magazine is a testament to the diversity of thought and talent in the BYU community. In some sense, this magazine is a time capsule and a window into the contemporary ideas and perspectives that concern students today. At the same time, many of the themes and topics explored by Prodigal Press over the last 12 months will continue to hold salience for decades to come.
